My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon, and I can confidently say the service went above and beyond our expectations. From the beginning, the staff helped us make reservations at local restaurants, always ensuring we had the best experiences. Additionally, they surprised us with a special detail in our room to celebrate our honeymoon, which made us feel truly valued. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, offering a variety of options that catered to all tastes and preferences. It was the perfect way to start our day and added to the overall wonderful experience. One moment that particularly stood out was when we had an excursion to Halong Bay and faced language barriers in coordinating with our driver. The hotel team took care of communicating with him directly to ensure we knew exactly where to meet. They even brought our luggage to the meeting point, making everything seamless and stress-free. This level of care and attention is something we’ve never experienced at any other hotel. They truly made our stay unforgettable, and I cannot wait to recommend this place to anyone seeking top-tier hospitality.

As a lot of other reviews have stated - the hospitality from the hotel staff were amazing and a big highlight of our stay. Manager Ken and the front reception team made us feel at home every time we came back to the hotel - we were well attended. Special thanks to Ken and all the help he provided - your hospitality on the first night we met was what made us want to come and stay at the hotel. Hannah and the restaurant team were very friendly and accommodated us with some dietary requests. The team at Ozone Bar also accommodated us at the end of what was a very busy night and I also had some friendly banter with them - I really appreciate this. There were many who took the time to chat with us - thank you all, we can't mention each of your names. The hospitality of the staff made the hotel special and made us sad to leave. Best wishes to all the staff at Grand Hotel du Lac.

Very clean, very new, and the service was really good!! The ladies at the reception/customer service were very helpful and they gave recommendations on all the tourist attractions we should visit, the best restaurants in town, they helped to arrange our halong bay trip (which made it much much more convenient for us), and personally they recommended some local fashion brands so it was very useful to us shopaholics!!!! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming to us, and they really made us feel like we were at home 😍 also, the location of the hotel is really convenient and it is right beside St Joseph Cathedral. Thbreakfast and in room dining were all wonderful as well. thank you Grand Hotel du LAC Hanoi for this wonderful stay ❤️we really enjoyed the many chats that we have had with you guys :) Oh one more thing is that there is a really good massage parlour right below the hotel, so it was great if we wanted to relax our body after a long long day of walking!
