GRAND HOTEL du LAC Hanoi

Very clean, very new, and the service was really good!! The ladies at the reception/customer service were very helpful and they gave recommendations on all the tourist attractions we should visit, the best restaurants in town, they helped to arrange our halong bay trip (which made it much much more convenient for us), and personally they recommended some local fashion brands so it was very useful to us shopaholics!!!! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming to us, and they really made us feel like we were at home 😍 also, the location of the hotel is really convenient and it is right beside St Joseph Cathedral. Thbreakfast and in room dining were all wonderful as well. thank you Grand Hotel du LAC Hanoi for this wonderful stay ❤️we really enjoyed the many chats that we have had with you guys :) Oh one more thing is that there is a really good massage parlour right below the hotel, so it was great if we wanted to relax our body after a long long day of walking!

I loved my stay at the Grand Hotel du Lac. Everyone of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast every day was really very good with many items made to order and the juices were fresh. It is situated right in the Old Quarter next to the church. Close enough to walk everywhere but far enough away from the bars to be quiet. The roof terrace was nice for a drink before going out and happy hour was especially welcome! As a solo female traveller I’d highly recommend it.

We can’t express enough gratitude to the staff for the most amazing experience we had at this hotel!Service of the very highest level, our stay was absolutely impeccable! A boutique hotel in the center of the Old Quarter, the facilities and rooms were top notch. The staff took the time to get to know us and remember us by name, and they truly went above and beyond. It was our son’s 18th birthday, and they surprised him with a birthday cake and special decorations in his room! The staff all came out to sing and wish him well, and we were truly touched. The location could not be better - literally next to St. Joseph’s cathedral and we could easily walk to the lake, train street, and the fun maze of streets in the Old Quarter. From the general manager to Benni to Kung (spelling?) at the bar, they made our experience truly special and was much better service than the bigger luxury hotel chains. Absolutely will stay here again. Thank you so much guys, see you next time!

From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Having just flown in from the UK, it was such a relief to be so well looked after—they arranged everything from our airport taxi to confirming onward travel plans, even though we hadn’t booked those through the hotel. One of the standout highlights was the breakfast: plentiful, varied, and served in a beautiful setting. The location is great, in the Old Quarter but not smack bang in the really busy bit. And a short walk to the lake where a jetlagged 6am walk is amazing! Overall, a fantastic stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to return

Great location, close walking distance to all restaurants and shops. Clean facilities. The staff definitely was the star of the property. From the entrance of the lobby all the way to the 9 th floor, we were greeted with kindness and enthusiasm. They always asked how our day was and if we needed anything. They even cared about our well being and walked us across the street! Mr. Jack was so happy to see us everyday, always recommending great places to eat. Emma and Benny from the restaurant always made sure we were happy with the food. Benny even offered to packed food for my sleepyhead daughter! I will truly miss the team and will definitely come back.
